04.Under GroundsUnder Grounds is a project that investigates wasted spaces beneath New York City’s elevated infrastructure. The project seeks to understand how these spaces came to be, and how they could be reimagined and transformed.  The aim was to shine a light on the scale of the issue, and uncover the potential for these spaces to serve our communities.

Project quote:
“New York City has over 700 miles of unused space under bridges, highways, and elevated subway tracks... In a dense city like New York, these residual spaces can no longer be an afterthought.”
