03.            Design & Chaos                Book                    (11x17) / 12pgs, hand bound
Book exploring the Little Free Library organization and their Design and Chaos book exchange box located at St. Marks Place and 3rd Avenue in Manhattan.

This project looks at the unique presentation of the box, highlighting its distinctly utilitarian design, which reflects the organization’s core values of community and accessibility.

These fundamental beliefs were thoughtfully integrated into the book’s design, creating a cohesive narrative that promotes the Design & Chaos box, and the Little Free Library organization.

Project quote:
Installed without permission and requiring your curatorial & custodial skill. Leave more interesting than you found it. Assume good intent in others. Be bold.

05.            Cuneiform                Book                (7x11) / 50pgs, hand bound
This cultural research book was inspired by the Cuneiform display at the Polonsky Exhibit at the New York Public Library.

Cuneiform writing originated in Mesopotamia – now present day Iraq –  and was the world’s first written language. This book traces Cuneiform’s origins within the ongoing social and ecological challenges of the region it was created in.

(7x11) /  50pgs, hand bound

06.            Allure of Academia                Website
This website examines the relationship between gold and academia through the symbols adorning the entrance to the Brooklyn Public Library. The project investigates the visual and material element of gold, and its symbolic significance for educational institutions. The project, initially conceived as a book, transitioned into a digital format to further communicate its findings.

This project was selected to be presented at a panel for AIGA NY’s event series, Fresh Dialogue. This panel included women lead design directors from The Metropolitan Museum of Art, MoMA, The American Museum of Natural History, The Whitney, and The Frick Collection

07.            Under Grounds                Website
Under Grounds is a project that investigates wasted spaces beneath New York City’s elevated infrastructure. The project seeks to understand how these spaces came to be, and how they could be reimagined and transformed.  The aim was to shine a light on the scale of the issue, and uncover the potential for these spaces to serve our communities.

Project quote:
New York City has over 700 miles of unused space under bridges, highways, and elevated subway tracks... In a dense city like New York, these residual spaces can no longer be an afterthought.

08.            Forever                Type + Motion
A typeface inspired by alternative music duo ESP, whose aesthetic is marked by a distinctly sporty influence and a dynamic sense of movement, both evident in their music and their presentation. The result was a simple, italicized display font that conveys a sense of forward momentum.

Forever was then brought to life through an animation process that involved printing and scanning individual frames.

09.            Chasing Stills               Poster + Photo
A photo series focused on light painting isolated trees scattered throughout western Massachusetts. The project captures the sculptural and unique character of individual trees, personifying and presenting them through a lens of solitude and introspection.

Project quote:
As day fades to darkness, each branch, each limb, reaches skyward. They stand now, sentinels in their solitude, their outlines a dance of shadows.

10.            For When It Rains                Book                    (8x10) / 80pgs
This photo collection was shot in the New England countryside at a time of deep social isolation (2020). The book conveys a yearning to escape the confines of rural life, yet finds inspiration in the quiet beauty and solace of nature.

The photos capture how rural solitude creates both a longing for freedom and an appreciation for the serenity that only nature can provide.
